Insourcing
Insourcing refers to the practice of internalizing certain business processes, services or functions within a company or bringing them back into the company that were previously outsourced. In contrast to outsourcing, where tasks are transferred to external service providers or partners, insourcing involves bringing these tasks back in-house.
Examples of insourcing include the internal performance of IT services, customer support, manufacturing activities or other services that were previously outsourced to external service providers. By insourcing, companies can retain more control over their business processes and resources, reduce their dependence on external partners and potentially save costs by using internal capacities more efficiently.
