Welder

An established multi-national manufacturer company in the Southwest Virginia area is seeking welders for the 1st or 3rd Shift. This company offers excellent benefits and is employee-centered.  The pay is dependent upon experience.

Welder-I

Responsibilities:

- Perform welding on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and mild steel fabricated weldments

- Utilize Flux Core Arc welding, MIG welding, plasma cutting, and torch cutting techniques to fabricate and assemble components

- Prepare weld seams by grinding, filing, or other means to ensure proper fit-up prior to welding

- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of various air and hand tools required for welding and fabrication tasks

- Interpret engineering drawings to accurately layout and position parts for fabricated assemblies

- Inspect completed weldments to verify quality and conformance to specifications

- Properly document work orders, labor hours, and associated costs

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area for self and coworkers

- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience as a welder, fabricator, or in a similar role

- Proven skills in Flux Core Arc welding, MIG welding, plasma cutting, and torch cutting

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics

- Familiarity with hand and air tools used in welding and fabrication

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
