Vertical Mill CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist - Vertical Mill to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC vertical milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of machining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines to produce precision parts per blueprints and specifications.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.

• Adjust machine settings and offsets to ensure accurate and efficient machining.

• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate’s degree in machining preferred.

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience operating CNC vertical milling machines.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus.

• HAAS experience is highly desired.

• Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately.

• Knowledge of different metals and machining properties.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
