Victory Health and Rehabilitation Center is an 87 beds facility located in North Minneapolis, looking for a Full-Time Director of Nursing (DON), to join our team.

The Director of Nursing for Victory Health and Rehab Facility ensures the quality of patient/resident care, services, and outcomes. Integrate nursing functions with other disciplines to ensure a team approach to the holistic care of the patients/ residents that is consistent with the Victory philosophy. Has a strategic approach to maintaining standards and compliance within Victory?

Responsibilities

Ensures the quality and clinical compliance of nursing care for residents.

Plans, develops, and directs new and enhanced health care programs.

Provides ongoing leadership and oversite of the nursing department.

Assists with hiring and training.

Adheres to budgets.

Supports a marketing plan aimed at full occupancy.

Supports relationships between nursing and medical staff.

Stays current regarding long-term care trends and state/federal regulations.

Collaborate with other health care professionals including consultants, government agencies and advocacy groups in the development and support of resident care, administrative functions and facility missions.

Participate in the annual facility assessment.

Work with the Infection Preventionist to establish and maintain an infection prevention and control program designed to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.

Oversee the staff development program to ensure nursing team members have the tools, training and resources to properly care for residents.

Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) program for the nursing services department.

Represents Victory to the external community.

Qualifications

Current MN RN licensure; Required

Bachelor’s Degree: BSN; Preferred

Current CPR certification; Required

Three to five years’ previous experience including: LTC and supervisory experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $115,000.00 per year
