Lube Truck Technician

JOB TITLE: LUBE TRUCK TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates a diesel-powered vehicle to various locations, utilizing understanding of commercial driving laws and adeptness in navigating challenging scenarios. Conducts routine maintenance procedures on all machinery at the destination.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures compliance with both local and national regulations.

  • Conducts daily routine servicing on all machinery.

  • Completes pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

  • Manages upkeep of necessary tools, protective gear, and the truck for job assignments.

  • Keeps up with daily inspection reports and logbooks as per DOT mandates.

  • Performs thorough checks on all equipment and submits work requests to notify maintenance teams.

  • Completes timesheets noting any machines with high fuel or fluid consumption.

  • At sites, inspects all equipment fluids thoroughly.

  • Maintains an orderly oil storage area keeping inventory well-organized.

  • Uses safety gear as part of essential work attire.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Communication – Reports directly to Team Leader every day regarding schedules for maintenance tasks and machinery service orders (alternatively receiving directives from Service Assistant or Service Manager if needed).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a clean driving history.

  • Must have CDL Class A/B along with Hazmat certification.

  • Moderate interpersonal skills required for effective collaboration with colleagues.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities are needed. 5 Meets DOT standards outlined in F.M.C.S.R.: Parts; 382, 385, 386, 390-393, 395-397 along with other required regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1 The employee must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs frequently 2 While executing job duties regularly standing walking bending kneeling crouching or crawling over extended time periods is necessary 3 Occasionally needs to sit climb or maintain balance

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 1 Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions 2 Must handle extensive oil/grease environments 3 Employee will face heavy traffic conditions requiring complex maneuvering
