The Bridge Care as an employer

About the company

We provide truly specialist and bespoke outcome-based support for uniquely complex and challenging individuals. This is underpinned by our approach. We take a fresh perspective to reinvigorate an individuals’ support, helping them to reach and exceed their goals.

We challenge assumptions about the people we support. Through our social model of support we turn opinion on its head to transform the lives of everyone we support.

We believe an individual is not disabled by their autism or learning disability. People are disabled through an environment that does not cater to their needs. Rather than trying to “fix” the person, we change the environment and the way we interact with that person to speak to their characteristics. In the end this makes sense for each person we support. In doing so we respect everyone’s rights as a human being and value their diversity, dignity and uniqueness.

Our CORE VALUES are

  • Change perceptions -See the world through the eyes of the people we support and mould the world around them

  • Take a different outlook -Use our wealth of experience and knowledge to look at unique situations differently

  • Be nice, kind, patient, resourceful, open minded, resilient and forgiving

  • Understand why situations occur -We take an evidence based approach to why behaviour occurs and how to respond appropriately

  • Everyone’s opinion matters -We value every individual as part of the team and they are key to the success of the people we support and the organisation
