About the Role

An Independent school in Brent is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their design and technology department. You'll deliver engaging food technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4, developing students' culinary skills and understanding of food science.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology Teacher lessons, covering a range of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
• Prepare students for examinations and assessments.
• Develop students' understanding of food science, nutrition, and food safety.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the development of the food technology curriculum and resources.
• Organise and lead food-related extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs and competitions.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology.
• Proven experience in teaching food technology at secondary level.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food science.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
