About the Role
An Independent school in Brent needs a dynamic Drama Teacher to join their performing arts department. You'll deliver engaging drama lessons at KS4 and KS5, focusing on performance skills, theatrical techniques, and creative expression.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons, covering a range of theatrical styles and techniques.
- Direct and produce school plays and performances, showcasing students' talents.
- Develop students' performance skills, including acting, improvisation, and stagecraft.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the drama curriculum and resources.
- Organise and lead drama-related extracurricular activities, such as drama clubs and workshops.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Drama.
- Proven experience in teaching drama at secondary level, including A-Level.
- Strong practical skills in acting, directing, and stagecraft.
- Excellent communication and performance skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
