About the Role

An Independent school in Brent needs a dynamic Drama Teacher to join their performing arts department. You'll deliver engaging drama lessons at KS4 and KS5, focusing on performance skills, theatrical techniques, and creative expression.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons, covering a range of theatrical styles and techniques.
  • Direct and produce school plays and performances, showcasing students' talents.
  • Develop students' performance skills, including acting, improvisation, and stagecraft.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the drama curriculum and resources.
  • Organise and lead drama-related extracurricular activities, such as drama clubs and workshops.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Drama.
  • Proven experience in teaching drama at secondary level, including A-Level.
  • Strong practical skills in acting, directing, and stagecraft.
  • Excellent communication and performance skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
