We are a leading logistics and transportation company based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Supervisor/Fleet Controller to join our team.

As the Logistics Supervisor/Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. You will also be responsible for managing a team of drivers and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance and support as needed

- Plan and coordinate the delivery schedule for all vehicles in the fleet

- Monitor and track vehicle locations, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules

- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards

- Manage and maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, maintenance, and expenses

- Communicate with clients and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

- Resolve any issues or delays in delivery and provide solutions to improve efficiency

- Conduct regular performance evaluations for drivers and provide feedback for improvement

- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics and transportation processes

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation industry

- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation processes and regulations

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
