Summary

Our client is looking for an Industrial Business Development Manager to join their team! This role focuses on driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with prospective clients, and expanding the company's presence within industrial, institutional, and warehouse distribution markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth and sales targets
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, emerging trends, and competitive insights
  • Proactively generate leads through networking, referrals, online platforms, and industry events
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and objectives
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and bids, negotiating contract terms and pricing
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless project transitions
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build a robust professional network
  • Track and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools, monitoring lead generation and conversion
  • Analyze competitor strategies and market positioning to refine business development approaches
  • Produce regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and business development activities
  • Stay current on industry certifications, attend relevant workshops, and seek ongoing professional growth

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role with a successful track record of driving revenue growth
  • Solid understanding of commercial property and facilities management in multi-site industrial and warehouse distribution settings
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a background in consultative selling and relationship building
  • Ability to develop long-term business plans, analyze market trends, and align objectives with customer needs
  • Exceptional networking skills for establishing and maintaining relationships with potential clients and industry partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to present proposals effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for evaluating market opportunities and adjusting strategies
  • Proven ability to lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and finance
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets and business goals
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and resilience in overcoming challenges
  • Proficiency in technology tools such as Microsoft Office and CRM software

Education/Certification Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field
