Position: Site Agent/Construction Manager
Location: Paarl, South Africa
Salary: R40,000 R60,000 per month

Overview:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Civil Site Agent/Construction Manager to join a dynamic team in Paarl. If you have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, a passion for construction excellence, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality civil projects, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning: Develop, monitor, and update project plans, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives.
• Management: Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring productivity and compliance with safety regulations.
• Materials Management: Coordinate procurement, delivery, and storage of materials to prevent delays and ensure quality standards.
• Cost Management: Manage budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Contractual Management: Administer contracts, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Public Relations: Act as the liaison between clients, consultants, and stakeholders, maintaining strong and positive relationships.

Qualifications:

• BEng / BSc / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• ECSA or SACPCMP registration (preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software such as MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, standards, and regulations (e.g., SANS 1200/GCC).
• Valid drivers license.

Skills and Expertise:

• Proven experience managing civil construction projects, including pipelines, earthworks, roads, and concrete works.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on construction management experience on civil projects.
