Business Analyst / Game Designer - Bangkok Relocate

This hybrid role bridges the gap between Business Analysis and Game Design, offering a unique opportunity for a junior BA to transition into the gaming industry. The successful candidate will leverage their analytical and documentation skills while developing core game design competencies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Development teams to plan and prioritize key game features and improvements.
• Define the structure and layout of new game features, including user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, considering best practices for game design.
• Develop comprehensive and detailed specifications for the development team, ensuring features meet business, user, and gameplay needs.
• Ensure that feature requirements are feasible, reasonable, and aligned with player expectations and market trends in the gaming industry.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality Control, Product, Design, Development, Art) to brainstorm solutions, analyze alternatives, and select the most effective approach for game development.
• Validate proposed solutions with players through mockups, prototypes, playtesting, and presentations.
• Maintain the game development roadmap and track feature completion, providing updates to relevant teams on important changes or upcoming features.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent analytical role). Experience in the gaming industry is not required, but a strong passion for games is essential.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile application workflows and functionality.
• Proficient in core BA skills, including requirements elicitation, information analysis, and creation of technical documentation.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).
• Experience in prioritizing tasks and managing the prioritization process.
• A strong desire to learn game design principles and transition into a game design career.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Vietnamese.
• Strong logical thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Technical knowledge and experience with development concepts is a plus.
