Job Title: Operations Risk Management Department Head

Location: Makati
Work Set Up: Hybrid (Onsite, 4x a week) (WFH, 1x a week)
Salary:100,000 - 130,000 basic 

Job Overview:

The Operations Risk Management Department Head is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating various operational risks that the bank encounters. This role ensures that the bank's financial stability is protected, maintains the banks reputation, and helps to align risk management procedures with regulatory requirements. The position also provides leadership to the Operations Risk Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Management:

• Identify and analyze risks faced by the bank in its operations.
• Assess the potential financial impact of these risks on the banks stability.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Review and enhance risk management policies and frameworks to ensure their effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to risk management.

2. Reporting and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and risk management standards.
• Support risk owners across various departments by helping them identify risks and create appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Utilize data analytics and risk management tools to monitor and control operational risks.
• Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management, the board of directors, and relevant government regulators.

3. Leadership and Management:

• Recommend performance targets, budgets, and plans for the department.
• Supervise, manage, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
• Guide and mentor team members, providing career development support.
• Oversee all departmental activities to ensure maximum employee productivity.

4. Additional Duties:

• Prepare regular updates on risk trends and reports.
• Provide training on risk management practices to other bank employees.
• Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
• Make recommendations to improve overall business operations related to risk management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields. A masters degree or relevant certifications in risk management is preferred.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in operations risk management or a related field, preferably in the banking sector.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of operations risk management, government regulatory compliance, and banking laws
