This position requires applying technical knowledge and experience for successful database programming and custom graphics development, followed by installation into the Building Management System for all assigned projects. Additionally, this role supports the startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of assigned projects. A high level of computer skills and an understanding of computer-operated systems, including network types, are essential. Documenting all fields as-built conditions and commissioning process documents is also required. The role necessitates close interaction with the Project Manager and any assigned Project Engineering staff to assist with the timely and successful completion of each project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead Systems Software Engineer in developing lower and mid-level control systems databases and programs.
- Support the execution of initial systems point-to-point commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot local and wide area network issues as they arise.
- Use computer hardware and software to support and/or execute pre-functional testing of system software code in relation to the design sequence of operations.
- Participate in and support final systems functional testing relative to standard, 3rd party, LEED, and Title 24 testing as required.
- Possess knowledge of multiple vendor software versions.
- Develop and utilize skills to work effectively with 3rd party integrations of other vendor products, systems, and protocols.
- Maintain a lead role in field coordination of installing subcontractors when a Project Engineer is not assigned to the project.
- Attend required field project coordination and commissioning meetings as required by assigned projects.
- Lead all end-user/customer system training requirements on assigned projects.
- Ensure systematic turnover of the project from the construction phase to the Service team on all assigned projects.
- Assist Design Engineers with validating sequence of operations development against design build and/or contract requirements.
- Coordinate with project staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs, including time sheets, daily reports, etc.
- Manage field time and budgets relative to the fieldwork of assigned projects.
- Provide necessary leadership for the field team when executing mid-sized projects requiring multiple team members.
- Communicate effectively with other team members regarding project issues, obstacles, and information needs.
- Attend and successfully complete OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety training classes.
- Practice safe work habits and participate in office safety programs and any specific safety requirements of all assigned projects.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior-level Systems Software Engineers.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual Salary: $90,000 to $110,000, determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, certifications, education, and work location.
