  • Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Clearance Requirements: National Background Check with Inquires, Fingerprints and Drug Screen.
  • Type of Employment: Part-Time, 16 hours per week.
  • Estimate Pay: $32.08 to $37.01/hour.

Working Hours
The Medical Assistant will normally work two (2) days a week, from Monday to Friday. The Radiologic Technologist will not work more than 16 hours a week.

Summary of Duties
Provide basic Medical and Administrative services to process accurate, error-free written correspondence, file medical records; filing of documents into the medical record ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries, obtain records for clinical staff and administrative staff; assist with sick call as per request of clinical staff; obtain vital signs, accurately recording preliminary complaints, maintaining records and logs; able to obtain laboratory samples.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed a Medical Assistant course of study.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from the state of Colorado.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience as Medical Assistant.
  • Have experience in the field of medicine dealing with ill patients/adults in custody either in a hospital or clinic facility.
  • Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified either by the American Red Cross (ARC)or the American Heart Association (AHA).

Attire
The contractor is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty (scrub uniforms are approved). The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recognize given medical terminology from the clinical staff.
  • Process accurate, error-free written correspondence in medical records.
  • File medical records.
  • File documents into the medical record ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries.
  • Obtain records for clinical staff and administrative staff.
  • Assist with sick call as per request of clinical staff.
  • Obtain vital signs, accurately recording preliminary complaints, maintaining records and logs.
  • Obtain laboratory samples such as performing routine phlebotomy, and other tests as required by clinical staff.
  • Conduct audiometric and visual testing.
  • Perform EKGs.
