Accounting Manager

Main Purpose of Job

To carry out general financial accounting, HR, and administrative duties to help the company achieve its financial and business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day control of all accounting systems to ensure the complete and accurate processing of financial data in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Supervise staff members to ensure that they are appropriately trained and carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  • Prepare and manage the month-end closing process for the company and subsidiaries.
  • Maintain reliable and accurate accounting records for the company and produce management accounts as necessary to facilitate the effective management of the company.
  • Carry out reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure that all accounting records for the company and subsidiaries are accurate.
  • Prepare payrolls and update the companys HR system to carry out administrative duties.
  • Follow up with government departments and other key contacts to comply with all relevant statutory and other regulations.

Qualifications

The job requires:

  • 10 years or more experience in accountancy;
  • 3 years or more experience in payroll and HR-related tasks;
  • ability to analyze complex financial information and produce reports;
  • a minimum of 2 years experience of preparing management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts;
  • experience of computerized accounting packages;
  • experience of supervising staff;
  • good interpersonal skills;
  • intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
