STEAM Connect is seeking skilled and dedicated Solar & Battery Storage Electricians to join our renewable energy team.
The Solar & Battery Storage Electrician will play a vital role in installing and maintaining solar energy systems and batteries, ensuring they are installed efficiently and meet high-quality standards. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Solar Panel Installation:Perform the physical installation of solar panels, mounting systems, and associated components on residential or commercial roofs, ground-mounted arrays, or other designated locations.
Electrical Wiring:Connect solar panels to inverters and electrical systems following design specifications and safety protocols. Ensure proper wiring, grounding, and testing of systems.
Battery Energy Storage Systems:Install and commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems for residential applications.
Equipment Handling:Safely handle, transport, and install solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other equipment. Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure all components are securely and accurately installed. Address any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations on job sites, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Report safety concerns or incidents immediately.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of installation activities, including photographs, measurements, and equipment serial numbers. Ensure proper documentation for warranty purposes.
Customer Interaction:Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process.
Maintenance and Repairs:Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on existing solar energy systems as needed. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to ensure optimal system performance.
Continuous Learning:Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and safety standards related to solar installations. Participate in training and development opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Renewable Energies Engineering or equivalent. (Título y Cédula Profesional son indispensables sin excepción)
- English level A2/B1 certification or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in solar panel installation and storage systems strictly required.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction principles.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
We will sponsor the new employee with a TN visa if needed, the applicant needs to have a clean immigration record with the United States.

You will be required to pass a medical screening and a drug test.
Overtime pay upon availability is paid at 1.5x
