Maintenance Technician - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift opening
A leader in plastic injection molding, is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Located in Saline, Michigan, an established but growing enterprise providing world-class engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins across multiple industries. This position will report to the Director of Engineering and is a vital part of the Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with proven knowledge of the repair and maintenance of plastic processing machines (injection/blow) and auxiliary equipment.
Essential Functions
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to diagnose and locate causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines to gain access for troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on plastic processing machines and auxiliary equipment in compliance with schedules.
- Testing of machines and equipment for proper functioning.
- Accurately troubleshoot issues that arise during production and be able to respond quickly.
- Maintain, add, and update preventative maintenance schedules in IQMS.
- Actively participate in creating and maintaining a safe working environment while improving plant operations.
- Install/transfer equipment as assigned/necessary.
- Other projects/duties as assigned.
- Regular & prompt attendance at work.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with clients & coworkers in a respectful and professional manner.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required (Coming in early, staying late, working weekends, etc.).
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of practical, hands-on maintenance experience.
- Associates Degree, Trade or Technical School or Equivalent preferred.
- Processing/injection molding classes/certifications a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with injection molding equipment, assembly process and auxiliary equipment.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems in injection molding manufacturing environments
- Experience working on robots & automation equipment
- Proven workload and time management skills with a history of completing projects accurately and on-time.
- Comfortable working with the demands of a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Robotics training a plus
- Injection Molding Certifications a plus

Direct Hire position for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. The max pay rate is $32.00 per hour but are open to higher rate for a good candidate. ($35 max pay rate).
