Hotman Group (HG) has an opportunity for a full-time, remote, contract Salesperson who is passionate, creative, and tenacious. This position requires at least 5 years experience in a similar role or function. High earnings potential with a competitive base plus commission-based structure with no maximum or cap on earnings.
The contract Salesperson will be focused on new client development for high-value services of a boutique cybersecurity, compliance, risk, and GRC practice. This person will work closely with our Partners to manage the lifecycle of the sales process from identification to close.
Responsibilities
- Follow and manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing, ensuring all interactions reflect our commitment to quality and client outcomes
- Grow the practice through developing and executing on a plan of new direct client and/or new partner development
- Drive revenue through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, and expanding the install base of existing clients
- Collaborate with channel partners to identify and close new business opportunities
- Leverage and build referral networks to generate warm leads and establish trust with new prospects
- Work in partnership with the rest of the team to scope deals, suggest pricing, and draft proposals that uphold the brand and enable execution of quality delivery and commitment to client outcomes
- Maintain organized, accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM
- Handle objections to close deals by helping the client understand the differentiators and value of the services as specialized solutions to their objectives
- Drive client retention by participating in business reviews and identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts and helping to secure renewals
- Uphold the brand, the high value HG provides, and HGs commitment to quality through the Sales cycle in all representations (e.g. verbal, written, presentations, phone, email)
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional services or solutions that meet client needs and contribute to their success
- Collaborate with partners to strategize new opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Passionate, creative, and tenacious person who operates in integrity and is committed to solving the clients security, risk, compliance, or GRC problems
- Proven ability to manage and execute numerous parallel activities in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated prioritization and decision-making skills to not miss deadlines or drop assignments
- Excellent at relationships and high standards of professionalism, including excellent spelling, grammar, and attention to detail in all communications
- Knowledge of security/ IT concepts (preferred, not required)
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, but also able to follow instructions to meet the teams overall objective.
- Technical aptitude to be able to learn new technologies quickly with little instruction
- Strong attention to detail and high commitment to quality
- Good attitude and courtesy to work with a smaller, fast-paced team
- Time Management, always looking for ways to gain efficiency and maximize time spent
- Operate with a high degree of independence with excellent follow-through for tasks and achieving sales goals.

- Not afraid to roll your sleeves up, learn what's needed to learn, get done what needs to get done to serve our clients

Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree in a Sales, Customer Success, Business or related field
- 5 years of experience in sales, customer success, or account management role with a proven track record of accomplishing or exceeding sales goals
- Preference given to those who have successfully sold high-value services versus a commodity or static product
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather insights from client data and translate them into actionable recommendations that serve the client
- Active listener to be attentive to prospective clients needs and capturing that to produce a value-based proposal based upon StoryBrand methodology
- Strong sense of ownership in autonomously handling all tasks from end-to-end
- Proven ability to maintain a client-facing demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva, quick learner of new technologies in general
- Candidate must be located in the US and have permanent authorization to work in the US for any employer
