Events Sales Manager

Filinvest hotel: CRIMSON HOTEL FILINVEST CITY MANILA

Responsible for preparing detailed event documentation and coordinating with the Sales team, property departments, and clients to ensure consistent, high-quality service throughout all stages of the event pre-event, event execution, and post-event. This role primarily manages events of moderate complexity, ensuring a smooth handover from sales to service and back to sales. It also identifies opportunities to optimize revenue by upselling and offering tailored enhancements to elevate the overall event experience.

Additionally, this role oversees the seamless delivery of event requirements for all clients and accounts utilizing event spaces and function rooms, from initial planning to post-event follow-up.

The position reports directly to the Director of Events and Assistant Director of Events.

SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing Event Logistic and Operations

1. Ensures Seamless Event Progression

Implements established procedures to ensure events run smoothly, collaborating
with all relevant departments (e.g., Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping,
AV/IT) to address every detail accurately and efficiently.

2. Event Presence and Guest Experience

Maintains a visible presence during key stages of the event arriving before the
start to oversee setup, monitoring the event to ensure flawless execution, and
personally sending off guests/clients to create a lasting positive impression.

3. Adherence to Standard and Policies

Upholds the hotels standards, policies, and procedures at every stage of event
coordination, ensuring consistency and quality in all interactions and deliverables.

4. Accurate Billing and Reviews

Collaborates with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Finance, and Sales teams to
ensure billing accuracy. Conducts detailed bill reviews with clients before final
processing, ensuring transparency and resolving discrepancies promptly.

5. Group Room Block and Meeting Space Management 

Assists in managing room blocks and meeting spaces for medium to large groups,
ensuring optimal space utilization and addressing client requirements with
precision and efficiency.

6. Operational Challenge Management 

Identifies potential operational challenges related to assigned groups. Works
proactively with property staff and clients to resolve these issues or develop
alternative solutions to ensure event success.

7. Integration of Event Trends and Design 

Applies sound judgment to incorporate current trends in event management,
style, and design, enhancing the guest experience and elevating the quality of
events hosted by the property.

8. Liaison Between Sales and Clients

Acts as the primary point of contact between field sales representatives and
clients throughout all phases of the event process (pre-event, event execution,
and post-event), ensuring seamless communication and alignment.

9. Customer Site Inspection Sales Clients 

Participates in site inspections, showcasing the hotels facilities and services to
prospective clients. Provides support to the Sales team during the sales process
as needed, offering insights and solutions that align with client needs.

10. Additional Duties Assigned

Takes on additional responsibilities to meet business needs, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the overall success of the hotel.

11. Feedback Solicitation and Continuous Improvement 

Actively seeks feedback from client and operational departments to identify opportunities for improvement. Uses this feedback to refine processes and enhance the overall experience for event planners and guests

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a deluxe hotel setup.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and multitasking abilities.
  • Technically savvy and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Optional but advantageous: certifications like CMP, Event Planning, or hospitality-related credentials.
  • Willingness to work in Muntinlupa City.
