Senior .NET/PowerApps Developer

Senior .NET/PowerApps Developer needed for our government client in Glen Burnie, MD. The Senior .NET/PowerApps Developer will support and enhance development of systems, applications, software and Viking reports. One year contract position with possible extension or contract to hire consideration. The non-negotiable pay rate is $68.50 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Improve the design and produce requested enhancement for eMCMS. Learn and improve mobile application development as needed.
  • Support existing ASP.NET, MS Access, VBScript applications and scripts. Design, develop, and implement new C#, .NET applications for MDOT either on prem or Cloud platforms including Azure.
  • Develop Power Apps applications.
  • Adhere to the best practices for writing the programming code including comprehensive commenting and timely code refactoring. Document solution designs based on functional and technical requirements.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Work with internal and external customers and project managers to provide technical expertise as needed.



Qualifications:

  • High level hands-on experience in software development using Access, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, Oracle, SQL, N-Tiered Application Development, WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework, Web Services/ APls. Experience with Angular, jQuery, Typescript, Telerik, Bootstrap are required.
  • At least ten (10) years of software development experience are required.
  • MS Access and ASP development experience are required.
  • Expert hands-on software development experience using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, T-SQL, Web Services/ APIs and required.
  • Prior experience with Angular, jQuery, Typescript, Telerik, Bootstrap, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power Platform are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft DevOps or GitHub code management environment are required.
  • Must be familiar with VB.NET, classic ASP, VBScript, VBA, MS Access applications, and PL/SQL are required.
  • Must be familiar with Agile development process & SCRUM are required.
  • Previous MDOT experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work from 7:00 am-4:00 pm or 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 1 hour non paid lunch.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing.
