About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional hospitality staff to join our Germany and Kuwait team for the Osaka Expo 2025. As representatives of the Pavilion, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for visitors from around the world. Fluency in English and Japanese are essential for effective communication with guests and team members.

Available Positions

• Waiters/Waitresses - Germany Pavilion

• Cleaning & Laundry Staff -Germany Pavilion

• Dishwashers -Germany Pavilion

• Kitchen Assistant -Germany Pavilion

• Shop Assistants -  Kuwait Pavilion

Key Responsibilities:

• Waiters/Waitresses:

  • You welcome our guests from all over the world warmly, and ensure they enjoy a fantastic dining experience

  • You know our menu inside and out, so you can confidently recommend dishes and cater to any special dietary requests.

  • You keep the dining area spotless and organized, ensuring tables and service stations are always ready for your guests.

  • You handle orders with precision, deliver meals promptly, and process payments smoothly to leave a lasting impression.

•   Cleaning/ Laundry Staff:

  • You handle washing, drying, ironing, and folding of uniforms and linens.

  • You ensure that laundry supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.

  • You are responsible to inspect items for damage or stains, treating them as needed and report any issues

  • You operate and maintain laundry equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine checks to ensure proper functioning.

NB: Your knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals is a plus.

• Dishwashers:

  • You ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow for the team.

  • You take responsibility for keeping the dishwashing area and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.

  • You assist with waste disposal and recycling, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards.

  • You support the kitchen team by restocking cleaned items promptly and helping maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.

NB: Your knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals is a plus.

• Kitchen Assistant:

  • You assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients, to support the kitchen team.

  • You ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards by washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and managing waste.

  • You help restock ingredients and supplies, ensuring everything needed for smooth kitchen operations is readily available.

  • You work closely with chefs and kitchen staff, following instructions and providing support wherever needed to keep service running efficiently.

• Shop Assistants:

  • You greet customers warmly, provide helpful assistance, and ensure they have an enjoyable shopping experience.

  • You keep the store tidy and well-organized, restocking shelves and arranging displays to maintain an appealing environment.

  • You handle transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, card, and other payment methods, while following company procedures.

  • You stay informed about products and promotions to answer customer questions and make recommendations confidently.

Requirements:

• Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • You have strong work ethic with a willingness to perform repetitive tasks.

  • You excel in communication with people, have service-oriented attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.

You are flexible to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and manage physically demanding tasks.

  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

  • Basic proficiency in Japanese for effective communication.

• Experience:

  • Prior experience in similar roles is advantageous but not mandatory..

  • Basic proficiency in Japanese for effective communication.

  • Fluent in English and Japanese is preferred.

• Work Eligibility: Legal authorization to work in Japan.

Duration:

• Availability between: 4th April 2025 13th October 2025

• Pavilion public opening hours: (9:00am to 9pm)

• Work Schedule: 9 working hours per day, 6 working days per week
