API Integration Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced API Integration Engineer to join our development team. This role will be critical in building, managing, and maintaining all of our teesheet integrations, as well as handling other key integration responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development, system integrations, and troubleshooting, with a passion for ensuring seamless connectivity between platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tee Sheet Integration Development:
   • Build, manage, and maintain integrations with 25+ third-party teesheet platforms.
   • Collaborate with external providers to ensure smooth data flow and accurate system synchronization.
2. API Development and Maintenance:
   • Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs to integrate with external systems and services.
   • Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
3. System Monitoring & Maintenance:
   • Proactively monitor all integrations to identify potential issues and optimize performance.
   • Debug and resolve issues related to system integrations, working closely with both internal teams and external vendors.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
   • Work closely with product, support, and customer success teams to ensure all integrations meet client needs.
   • Assist with the design and planning of new integration projects.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
   • Create and maintain detailed documentation for all integration projects, APIs, and system workflows.
   • Provide regular status updates and reports on integration health and performance.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to system integrations.
   • Propose and implement improvements to integration processes, tools, and infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on API integration and system connectivity.
  • Proven experience building and managing integrations between multiple platforms, especially with teesheet systems or similar applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) and modern development tools.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in backend languages like PHP, Laravel, Node.js, or similar (Python).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and data formats (JSON, XML).
  • Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
