Excellent opportunity for an engaging VIT-registered Early Childhood Teacher to lead a small group (10-12 children daily) at an award-winning family-owned centre in Patterson Lakes.

About the service

An approved provider with a background in primary school education manages the family-owned early years learning service. The organisation enjoys an excellent reputation in the community and prides itself on the warm and trusting relationships developed with its children and strong partnerships with families whilst delivering high-quality education and care. The local primary schools speak highly of the service as they know children are solidly prepared for Prep. 

The centre is home to 60 children and has a team of 18 staff. The service provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. The programming reflects the Early Years Learning Framework and incorporates the learning outcomes encompassing the child, including their sense of identity, connections, and contributions to the world; a sense of well-being; being confident and involved learners; and being effective communicators. The Early Childhood professionals team loves where they work, ensuring high staff retention and low turnover for over ten years. 

About you

• ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teacher qualification.
• VIT teaching registration (provisional is okay).
• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and a dedication to providing high-quality care and education to young children
