Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Developer to join our team and support cloud-based development initiatives for Guy Carpenter. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions tailored to various business use cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies and a proven track record of delivering innovative data solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to design and develop cloud-based solutions using Azure-native technologies.
  • Create and manage data pipelines, integrations, and APIs to support business processes.
  • Provide technical expertise during all phases of project work, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Participate in architecture and solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
  • Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Azure cloud technologies, including:
    • Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure SQL Database, SQL, Databricks.
  • Programming Experience: At least 3+ years with JavaScript.
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub.
  • Testing Tools: Familiarity with Postman, Fiddler, or similar tools for testing.
  • Database Skills: Strong knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, SQL functions, and queries.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure API Management, SharePoint, and Okta.
  • Certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud development and related technologies.
  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with core Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage technical objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
