Job Overview:
The client is seeking motivated and experienced CPAs or CPA candidates to join their firm at the Senior Associate to director levels. Ideal candidates bring experience in one of the core areas: tax, audit, business valuation or financial consulting, with opportunities to develop additional skills. This is an office-based position with possible hybrid options.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a CPA firm setting, with a focus on tax, audit, business valuation, or business advisory.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification, expected to be achieved within 6-12 months.
- Familiarity with CCH software is a plus.
- Understanding of partnership and pass-through entity tax structures is an asset.
- Experience in industries such as construction, manufacturing, distribution, or retail is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to work independently, oversee engagements within your expertise, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary duties will align with the candidates area of expertise, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities based on skills and interests:
- Tax: Prepare and review income tax returns and compliance documents for pass-through entities and other for-profit structures; contribute to strategic tax planning efforts.
- Audit & Assurance: Lead and assist with financial statement assurance services, including audits, reviews, and compilations, ensuring accuracy and compliance for clients in key industries.
- Business Valuation & Advisory: Perform business valuations, provide cash flow management and profitability analysis, and support M&A, succession planning, and transaction advisory services.
- Financial Consulting: Conduct financial statement analysis, deliver business consulting, and offer accounting support with a focus on clients in the construction sector.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Independently manage client engagements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering guidance on tax, audit, or valuation strategies and addressing broader business concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to share expertise and contribute to the firms goals for client satisfaction and growth.
