Job Title: Director of Education
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 annually with up to 25% bonus
Travel Requirements: Up to 50% with significant initial travel to align with hospital partners
Location: Primarily Kansas City with frequent travel to partner sites
Role Overview:
The Director of Education with our client is tasked with elevating the clinical and non-clinical training programs for healthcare professionals within hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers. This strategic role requires a blend of clinical expertise and educational prowess to design, implement, and oversee training and development initiatives that enhance staff competencies and ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educational Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development, focusing on both clinical and operational excellence.
- Skill Assessment and Enhancement: Conduct thorough assessments of staff skills and knowledge, providing tailored feedback and developing individualized learning plans to address gaps.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all training and educational activities comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards, integrating best practices and evidence-based guidelines into curriculum development.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders and other department heads to align educational strategies with organizational goals and patient care objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree in a relevant field strongly preferred.
- Certification: RN or CST required; CRCST preferred (must be obtained within 120 days of hire).
- Experience: Extensive experience in nursing, OR/SPD environments; proven leadership and educational role experience.
Skills:
- Leadership and Communication: Strong ability to lead and develop a diverse educational team, excellent communication skills for effective teaching and mentorship.
- Strategic Planning: Capable of developing strategic educational initiatives and managing comprehensive training programs.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in assessing training needs and measuring program effectiveness.
