Location: Santa Clara, CA (On-site with occasional travel to Mexico)
Duration: 6+ months

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer with a strong background in network deployments and Mellanox technologies. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting advanced networking solutions for enterprise clients, ensuring seamless performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, particularly in Cumulus OS, OSPF, BGP, and campus WAN, alongside hands-on experience with InfiniBand and Ethernet technologies. Occasional travel to Mexico is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network solutions using Mellanox hardware and technologies.
  • Configure, test, and support InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Perform on-site installations, configurations, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor network deployments to ensure high availability and operational efficiency.
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting protocols for internal and client use.
  • Train and transfer knowledge to client teams for ongoing operations and support.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment processes and project success.
  • Travel to client sites in Mexico on a quarterly basis to provide hands-on support.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in network engineering or deployment with strong expertise in Mellanox technologies.
    • Extensive knowledge of Cumulus OS, OSPF, BGP, and campus WAN.
    • Hands-on experience with InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions, switches, and related hardware.
  • Proficiency in Mellanox tools (e.g., Mellanox OFED, SwitchX, Spectrum).
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Flexibility to travel to Mexico for project-based assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) to streamline deployments.
  • Familiarity with other networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
