Procurement Clerk

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Order management
2. Placing of orders for packaging, consumables and project related items, both local and import
3. Tracking of open orders
4. Expediting, pushing and pulling of orders
5. Call off lists for stock-holding suppliers
6. Inputting shipment dates from the forwarder tracker to review whether shipments are on track
7. Coordination of materials to/from 3PLs to fulfill orders
8. Out of stock management
9. Tracking supplier delays
10. Overseeing of returns to supplier/ reject stock for replacement
11. Assist with local and import sourcing and quote requests
12. Maintain imports tracker with payment and delivery dates and report on overdue items. Report on any items that affect launch dates and feedback on the innovation tracker
13. Place import orders and send them to suppliers.
14. Oversees the scheduling and documentation of all imports/export
15. Assist with obtaining estimates from forwarder and converting these into landed costs
16. Assist in admin checklist for new product launches to ensure all crucial steps are completed
17. Brief in colour matches to suppliers and follow through the process until final sign off
18. Prepare and send out Christmas imports delivery schedule to the planning and gifting team every week
19. Point of sale liaise with the Activation team on requirements, request quotes and submit for sign off
20. Maintain the POS tracker and delivery dates with suppliers
21. Assist with innovation and gifting sample requests and tracking
22. Maintenance and updating of the supplier list
23. Assisting in sourcing new suppliers for vetting

REQUIREMENTS

1. Grade 12
2. Have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or similar field
3. 2 years post-qualification experience (preferably in an FMCG environment)
4. Experience working on a SAP or Syspro ERP inventory management system
5. Advanced Excel skills (an added advantage)

RUMUNERATION

R24,000 (Total Cost To Company)
