In conjunction with the Group Vice President and Corporate, establishes business objectives for the site and provides direction to the attainment of those objectives in business, customers, employees, and the community while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Completes long-range planning in support of corporate goals and objectives.
- Manages site in a manner that reduces operating costs, increases revenue, and exceeds customer expectations.
- Pursues new customer and business expansion opportunities.
- Responsible for employee discipline and morale.
- Supports corporate and senior staff in establishing policies and procedures and ensuring implementation at the site.
- Provides quarterly business and capital investment forecasts.
- Leads management and support staff in a collaborative environment to continuously improve site performance in velocity, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Supports the client's initiatives through site active participation in projects, education and training programs, and resource sharing as needed.
- Review pricing and cost of current and prospective customers to identify opportunities and reduce overall costs.
- Provides leadership and direction in the sites Lean Sigma program to corporate goals and objectives to increase value stream transformation.
- Supports human development programs for site team members.
- Typically performs job roles and responsibilities at a site of <500 employees
- Typically manages $150M USD annual revenue.
- Uses professional concepts, systems, and tools.
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
- Operates effectively in daily business activities
- Works closely with the Group VP and Corporate to established site goals and objectives.
- Ability to dive-deep into functional responsibilities and performance using site metrics to identify and resolve challenges.
- Ability to multi-task and manage sites improvements with hands-on time and knowledge through coaching and mentoring of functional team members.
- Works closely with site Lean Champion and Controllers to estimate, track, and validate the financial benefits of Lean Sigma projects and activities.
- Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
- Complies and follow all company security policies and procedures.
- Performs other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification by a recognized and/or accredited organization (e.g., Shingo Prize, SME, ASQ, ASU, Villanova U, etc.).
- 5+ years experience in contract manufacturing.
- Surface-mount technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) experience
- Extensive experience in working directly with customers and developing customer relationships.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and personnel.
- Experience in team dynamics and human development.
- Experience in all areas of manufacturing operation.
- Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software.
The hiring team has emphasized that candidates must have recent, hands-on experience in one of the following environments:
- EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services)
- CM (Contract Manufacturing)
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
- SMT (Surface-mount technology)
- PCB (Printed Circuit Board)
Additionally, there is a strong focus on candidates who have worked specifically with PCB/PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly). This means they must have managed or been deeply involved in environments where PCB/PCBA production was a core aspect of the business.
To help focus your efforts:
- Look for candidates currently or recently employed in companies known for EMS/CM or OEM work. Examples include Jabil, Flex, Celestica, Sanmina, Foxconn, and even smaller regional players.
- Focus on comfortable candidates discussing PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes, as this will likely arise during interviews.
- Prioritize individuals with a technical leadership background, especially those with roles that involve customer interaction and operational oversight of electronics manufacturing.
