Role Overview: Senior Software Quality Leader

We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Leader to join our BMS Supplier Software Integration team. This role involves leading software quality initiatives across all our projects.

Position Description

The Supplier Software Integration team, part of the Battery Management System (BMS) Section, oversees the complete BMS, including electronic hardware, electrical architecture, and software for control and diagnostics of the Energy Storage System (ESS). The team integrates, tests, and verifies BMS software from suppliers, coordinating collaboration between suppliers and RD teams like the BMS function design team and HIL testing team. Our experienced team includes SW Component Owners and SW Integration Leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact for all software quality topics in the BMS Department.
• Analyze and collect data related to software quality issues.
• Analyze logs and take new logs when necessary to identify root causes.
• Drive solutions through cross-functional collaboration, assigning actions to the relevant teams (internal/supplier HW/SW).
• Document findings in PIL, follow up on solutions, and verify fixes when ready.
• Monitor and follow up on Product Change Request (PCR) statuses with suppliers.
• Communicate quality work status and plans to project teams.
• Report status in project and quality meetings.
• Collaborate with internal quality stakeholders, such as the Quality and Customer Satisfaction (QCS) department, on solution rollouts and potential containment actions.

Additionally, you should be structured in your documentation work and willing to learn and take on more responsibilities.

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Systems, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in software verification or software quality work within the automotive industry, preferably with BMS software.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Experience in supplier management.
• Proficiency in in-vehicle communication technologies (LIN, CAN, Ethernet, J1939, UDS protocol, etc.).
• Strong fault tracing skills.
• Proficient in log analysis (CANalyzer).
