Consultant System Integration Project Manager: Automotive

About the Role:
We are seeking a System Integration Project Manager to lead cross-functional integration efforts between software and hardware in advanced automotive projects at a large system level. As the number of component deliveries increases, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration across complex automotive platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Integration Leadership:
    • Oversee the integration of software and hardware systems within large, complex automotive platforms.
  • Daily Follow-Up:
    • Manage the progress of 12 components, including all variants of software (SW) and hardware (HW), ensuring adherence to project deadlines.
    • Monitor and drive essential tasks including:
      • SW delivery from suppliers
      • Prototyping updates
      • Node template status
      • KDCN and D-DCN approvals
      • Integration level assessments
      • Functional and application network testing
      • Input deadlines for signal database changes
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Lead planning and collaboration between software and hardware teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements and deliverables.
  • Integration Planning:
    • Collaborate with PM System and SW release management to define the scope, objectives, and milestones for system integration. Develop and monitor project schedules.
  • Issue Resolution:
    • Proactively identify integration challenges, manage risks, and implement timely solutions.
  • Testing Validation:
    • Coordinate system testing and validation to ensure systems meet functional and safety requirements.
  • Reporting:
    • Keep Project Management Executive (PME) informed about the latest status, hurdles, and achievements.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with automotive electrical and electronic systems, including a high-level understanding of AUTOSAR.
  • Proven experience in software and hardware integration within a larger context.
  • Skilled in the release process of software and hardware within the automotive industry (experience with AB Volvo is a plus).
  • Knowledge of embedded software development and software configuration.
  • High-level understanding of CAN, Automotive Ethernet, HIL systems, system rights, and vehicle verification validation.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and development processes.
  • Strong expertise in system integration (software and hardware).
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong operational leadership skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
