Consultant Test Engineer Battery Cells/Modules (Automotive)

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluation and Analysis:
  • Conduct evaluation and analysis of battery cells and modules as part of the Energy Storage System (ESS), in collaboration with the Battery Cell and Module Technology team and testing facilities.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with highly skilled battery cell and module experts and test engineers to improve existing test methods and develop new ones for effective verification of battery performance over its lifetime.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment around cell and module evaluation with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Supplier Engagement:
  • Work with current and potential future suppliers to secure a competitive and high-quality battery system.
• Strategic Thinking:
  • Maintain a holistic view and strategic mindset to address global needs effectively.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in battery cell and module evaluation and analysis.
• Deep understanding of battery cell characteristics and their implications on complete battery systems.
• Extensive experience in experimental testing in cell and/or battery laboratories and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for data analysis.
• Experienced in designing and specifying validation test methods in the field of battery cells and/or modules.
• Familiarity with battery cell and module standards and technical requirements.
• Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong drive and energy, capable of creating a high-performing work culture.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
