Consultant Cybersecurity Architect for Embedded Systems"


The position involves developing and integrating cybersecurity solutions on embedded software platforms used in automotive applications. This includes working with various technologies such as AUTOSAR, Linux, and adaptive software platforms based on Hypervisor technologies. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure robust cybersecurity measures across different electronic control units (ECUs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embedded Software Integration:
    • Integrate cybersecurity features into embedded software platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Work on the integration of these platforms in various ECUs, ensuring they meet cybersecurity requirements.
  • Cybersecurity Solution Development:
    • Develop and maintain onboard cybersecurity solutions, such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
    • Implement security features within the embedded software and ensure they operate effectively within the system architecture.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Coordinate with suppliers and internal development/architecture teams to align on cybersecurity requirements and integration processes.
    • Collaborate across various technology streams to manage cybersecurity risks and implement solutions effectively.
  • Platform Management and Support:
    • Provide technical support and platform updates, ensuring the cybersecurity measures are up-to-date and effective against new threats.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cybersecurity aspects of the software platforms.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Embedded Software Development:
    • Strong programming skills in C/C++ within an embedded environment.
    • Experience in working with complex embedded software systems, particularly in cybersecurity contexts.
  • Platform and OS Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with Linux and, preferably, experience using Yocto for Embedded Linux.
    • Experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR, Hypervisor, and QNX Neutrino OS technologies is highly beneficial.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise:
    • Experience with cybersecurity solutions like IDS, PKI, and an understanding of their integration into embedded systems.
    • Capability to analyze complex system requirements and implement appropriate security measures.
  • Automation and CI/CD:
    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
    • Interest and experience in automation of testing and deployment processes.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience in agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with real-time embedded systems and hypervisor technology.
  • A background in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
