The automotive industry is experiencing rapid technological advancements, and within the General Services department, we are evolving to support this transformation. Our goal is to create innovative services that enhance our customers' productivity, efficiency, and profitability. We are seeking a System Design Engineer to help realize our vision of a service-oriented future.

In this role, you will primarily work on Driver Times services, with the potential to expand into other areas over time. The position involves working with both in-vehicle apps and off-board systems, ensuring seamless communication between the vehicle and back-office systems. You will be responsible for defining the overall system concept, which includes embedded systems, control unit communication, and system architecture. While you will design and lead the development of these systems, you will not be directly responsible for coding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of systems in collaboration with subject matter experts across the company.
• Review customer needs and identify technological solutions that meet their requirements.
• Analyze and evaluate different design options, making informed decisions on system architecture and integration.
• Communicate system concepts and anchor solutions with stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Oversee the system concept involving embedded systems, vehicle communication, and control unit interfaces.

Skills Experience Required:

• 7-10 years of experience in product development or system engineering.
• Expertise in embedded systems or mobile wireless systems, with a strong understanding of Ethernet, CAN, and wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, OTA software downloads).
• Knowledge of the commercial-vehicle transportation sector and customer needs is advantageous.
• Strong experience with agile methodologies and working in dynamic, flexible environments.
• M.Sc. in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
