Role Summary

Our client, a leader in utilizing data insights and artificial intelligence to transform healthcare delivery, is seeking a Global Head of Commercial Data Foundations. This executive position is pivotal in crafting and executing a strategy for data-driven digital solutions within the global commercial domain. The role focuses on standardizing, optimizing, and enhancing data platforms to support advanced analytics and digital transformation across global business units and therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global strategy for Commercial Data Foundations, addressing both current and future commercial data needs.
• Data Standardization: Simplify and harmonize platforms to eliminate data silos and improve operational efficiency.
• Digital Product Development: Design, build, and oversee digital products that enhance data assets and features in alignment with business priorities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Global Data Center of Excellence and advanced analytics/AI teams to define tools and platforms that optimize data value.
• Portfolio Management: Manage the Commercial Data Foundations product portfolio to ensure scalability and global applicability.
• Governance Compliance: Collaborate with GBU data governance leaders to implement robust data governance processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Team Leadership: Lead the Commercial Data Engineering Center of Excellence and develop a high-performing, innovative team.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related fields.
• Advanced degrees are advantageous
• Proven experience in managing large-scale digital and technology initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Expertise in data management, including relational databases (SQL, NoSQL), data lakes, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in data integration techniques, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Extensive background in developing global data strategies within commercial domains, emphasizing dashboard satisfaction and foundational data integrity.
• A successful track record of leading cross-functional teams and fostering innovation in diverse, international environments.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
