Director of Long-Term Care (LTC) Strategy and Marketing

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Long-Term Care (LTC) strategy for treatments in Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) and Huntington’s Disease Chorea (HDC). This role is ideal for a motivated individual with extensive LTC experience in sales and marketing, coupled with a deep understanding of the market access landscape. The position focuses on developing, implementing, and executing LTC marketing strategies to align with the brand's objectives and growth plans in TD and HDC. The role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless strategy execution and effective promotional tactics tailored to LTC audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the LTC market, product, and treatment landscape.
  • Lead the development of the annual LTC brand plan, including the budgeting process.
  • Marketing Execution:
  • Design and implement LTC marketing strategies, leveraging customer insights and market knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales, Market Access, Market Insights, Patient Services, and Patient Marketing teams to align messaging and resources with customer segmentation priorities.
  • Develop marketing content that simplifies complex, scientifically nuanced concepts, ensuring consistent messaging across channels and audiences.
  • Market Competitive Analysis:
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behaviors to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Adjust marketing tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with teams, including Sales, Training, Market Research, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, Regional Marketing, and Managed Markets, to deliver complex projects.
  • Support POA (Plan of Action), regional sales meetings, and other ad hoc projects based on evolving brand needs.
  • Leadership Compliance:
  • Lead strategy for national and regional LTC society events, congress meetings, and collaboration with Sales and RMM teams.
  • Serve as marketing representative on the promotional review committee to ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative work environment, resolving issues and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Agency Budget Management:
  • Oversee agency collaborations, project timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years in marketing and/or sales in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced degree preferred (Master's, MBA, or PhD with at least 7 years of experience).
  • Demonstrated experience in in-line brand marketing and commercial launch strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of LTC marketing, including disease engagement, segmentation, and tactical plan development.
  • Strong digital marketing proficiency and ability to collaborate across HCP (Healthcare Provider), Patient, and Medical marketing.
  • Proven ability to build empathetic and meaningful experiences for HCPs through targeted marketing efforts.
  • Expertise in managing advisory boards, competitive intelligence, and fostering positive cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership in navigating complex, cross-functional environments with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable setting campaign KPIs, monitoring performance, and making strategic adjustments.
