Junior Java developer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Java Developer to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity. As a junior developer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to the development of robust and scalable applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues
• Contribute to the development of RESTful APIs and microservices
• Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in Java development
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)5
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
