Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Associate/Special Counsel with expertise in cyber, data, and privacy law. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes cases involving data protection regulations and cybersecurity legal compliance. We value candidates with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex litigation and regulatory investigations involving privacy and data security issues.
- Defend clients in data privacy and security class actions, particularly those related to consumer protection laws.
- Handle cases involving the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, and unfair trade practice claims.
- Work on State AG, FTC, and other regulatory investigations.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of attorneys on high-profile privacy and data security cases.
- Engage directly with clients, providing strategic counsel and managing significant projects.
- Exhibit a deep understanding of technology and its legal implications on privacy and data security issues.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience focusing on regulatory investigations or litigation involving privacy and data security.
- Strong background in consumer protection issues and defending privacy/security class actions.
- High academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Tech fluency and a proactive approach to learning about evolving privacy and security trends.
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Admission to the bar in the applicable jurisdiction of the office location.
