We are seeking a motivated and experienced Healthcare Attorney to join our growing team.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Will have a strong background in representing physicians, surgeons, and practice groups in a variety of complex healthcare litigation matters.
- Experience representing physicians, surgeons, and practice groups.
- Experience with medical board investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
- Experience with insurance coverage disputes.
- Experience with HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory issues.
DUTIES:
- Represent physicians, surgeons, and practice groups in complex healthcare litigation matters, including medical malpractice, licensing board actions, and contractual disputes.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective legal strategies.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct depositions and other discovery proceedings.
- Prepare for and participate in trials, hearings, and mediations.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Provide timely and effective communication with clients.
- Advise clients on legal issues and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to achieve case objectives.
- Mentor and train junior attorneys.
- Contribute to the firm's overall strategic goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the CA state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare litigation.
- Strong understanding of medical malpractice law, licensing board procedures, and contractual disputes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client service.
COMPENSATION BENEFITS:
- Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $215,000
- Plus performance-based incentives include percentages for origination, collections, profit sharing, and realization rates. We can delve into more details to find mutually beneficial terms.
