Land Survey Practice Leader

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Land Survey Practice Leader with extensive experience in both conventional and advanced surveying methods, including BIM, geospatial analysis, LiDAR, unmanned aircraft systems, and photogrammetry. This role involves overseeing the entire survey department and driving the company’s strategic growth in both public and private sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

    • Leadership: Manage and lead the company's survey department, ensuring the team operates effectively across all projects.
    • Market Evaluation: Assess current surveying practices and technologies, adapting them to meet the needs of public and private clients.
    • Client Management: Maintain strong relationships with external clients, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service.
    • Business Development: Support the company’s business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and markets.
    • Quality Assurance: Uphold the firm's commitment to quality assurance and control (QA/QC) standards.
    • Strategic Growth: Identify new markets and growth areas that align with the firm's long-term goals.
    • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a relevant field.
    • Experience: 10-15+ years of experience in surveying, including at least 5 years of leadership and management in the field.
    • Licensing: Professional Land Surveyor license in Tennessee or the ability to obtain one.
    • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with both conventional surveying tools and cutting-edge technologies.
    • Expertise: Strong background
