Outside Sales Representative

Position Overview:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the company by establishing and nurturing partnerships with clients. You will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business. This role combines creativity and strategic thinking to develop sales strategies that reflect our company’s values and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand the customer base across a large geographic territory.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and meet revenue targets.
  • Assist customers with product selection, promoting strategic brands.
  • Maintain a quote-to-close ratio of 20% or higher through consistent follow-ups.
  • Attend construction site meetings to resolve sales-related issues.
  • Collect and report market intelligence and competitor activity.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and field reports.
  • Participate in industry events and promotional activities.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in outside sales.
  • Established book of business.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel (50% of the time).
  • Proficient in English with strong communication and writing skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals and safety data sheets.
  • Good mathematical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Carpentry skills (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (preferred but not required).
