As an Audit Partner focused on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, you will oversee and drive audit engagements, working with clients in this specialized industry. Your role combines financial expertise, industry insights, and leadership to consistently deliver exceptional audit services. You’ll collaborate across teams, communicate effectively with clients, and stay informed on the latest industry standards and regulatory changes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements for AEC clients, ensuring alignment with auditing standards and regulations.
- Review audit work papers, financial statements, and other relevant reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, offering strategic financial advice.
- Gain a deep understanding of clients’ business goals, providing insights to enhance financial outcomes.
- Guide and mentor audit teams, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Work closely with other partners and managers to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.
- Assess and mitigate risks specific to AEC engagements.
- Uphold firm policies, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate actively in business development activities, including client acquisition and relationship expansion.
- Identify service expansion opportunities within existing and new client engagements in the AEC sector.
- Conduct detailed reviews of audit documents to confirm accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
Skills and Experience Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
Experience:
- 12+ years of audit experience, specifically within the AEC industry.
- Strong foundation in financial reporting, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven capability in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Skills and Certifications:
- Big 4 firm experience preferred.
