Junior Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our growing team in a fully remote position based in Europe.

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and scaling our data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to collate, clean, and analyze extensive datasets
• Contribute to the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions
• Assist in optimizing SQL queries and database performance
• Participate in data discovery activities and perform root cause analysis for data quality issues
• Support the development of data visualization tools and dashboards
• Contribute to the implementation of data engineering best practices and methodologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of SQL querying and development (e.g., joins, stored procedures, aggregations)
• Basic experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages relevant to data engineering
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote team environment
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
