Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a dynamic and growing organization in the IT services sector. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering and managing long-term client relationships, driving growth within existing accounts, and ensuring client satisfaction through strategic partnership development.

Location: Wokingham, UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients. Understand their business objectives and challenges to deliver tailored solutions and drive long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Work closely with the leadership team to implement sales strategies aligned with the company’s goals. Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and customize approaches to meet client needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor account performance through data analysis to assess client satisfaction and retention rates. Use insights to recommend improvements and maximize value.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with internal teams across marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure that client expectations are met and our offerings stay relevant to the market.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve client concerns proactively and effectively to ensure satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
  • Account Development: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within accounts. Create proposals to meet evolving client needs and maximize revenue.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to enhance account strategies and stay competitive.
  • Budget Management: Help manage account budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and return on investment (ROI).
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide leadership with regular updates on account performance, offering data-driven insights and growth recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in account management or sales roles, ideally in the IT service industry.

Skills:

  • Strong track record in developing client relationships and achieving revenue growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven capability in developing and implementing effective strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
