Associate Attorney – Personal Injury


Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney to join our personal injury litigation team. This role is ideal for candidates with at least three years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation who thrive in managing a high-volume caseload and delivering excellent client outcomes. Trial experience is highly desired but not mandatory. The position requires full-time in-office work with the option of one remote day per week following a probationary period.

Main Responsibilities

    • Manage a caseload of 30-40 personal injury cases from filing to trial.
    • Develop case strategies and legal theories to maximize results for clients.
    • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
    • Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs, defendants, and expert witnesses.
    • Engage in settlement negotiations to achieve favorable client outcomes.
    • Serve as second chair during trials when needed.
    • Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
    • Supervise paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
    • Active and in-good-standing member of the California State Bar.
    • Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with successful outcomes.
    • Strong legal research, analytical, and written communication skills.
    • Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships.
    • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
