WHAT DO WE DO? 

A producer of renewable photovoltaic energy on an international scale for over 15 years, the REDEN Group, owned by Macquarie, BCI and MunichRe, has its own photovoltaic panel production plant in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and develops, builds and operates photovoltaic power plants in close collaboration with local stakeholders. The REDEN Group, present in 9 countries in Europe and Latin America, currently operates more than 1 Gw worldwide and expects to grow more than 10-fold by 2030.


Post: What would be your role in the REDEN project?

As an Energy Storage Optimization Engineer, you will report to the Head of Energy Storage and your main mission will be to lead revenue streams estimation and economical valuation of utility-scale battery storage projects (BESS), both hybridized and standalone BESS and support projects development in Europe.


Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To lead revenue streams of BESS projects and perform projects economical valuation through development of versatile and bankable numerical tools and methods (40% of your time),
  • To benchmark systems modeling solutions, to coordinate with external solution and energy market data providers as well as PPA-Energy Management REDEN team, and to lead the roadmap of the tools/methodologies (20% of your time),
  • To participate in projects identification, system engineering and to actively support in the due diligence processes in the frame of projects development and project financing (20% of your time),
  • To cultivate the interface with external partners and REDEN Group support functions and to prepare all relevant documents within REDEN group and external stakeholders (20% of your time).


This position requires national and international business trips (10% of your time).


Profile: Who are you?

You have a Master degree in electrical engineering, in modeling, in quant analytics or in energy markets, and at least 2 years of experience in project engineering or in development of energy management tools.

Wanted skills : Engineering of energy management systems, energy market regulation including ancillary services, quantitative analysis of timeseries, solving optimization problems

You are used to Microsoft software, such Pack Office, and Python libraries dedicated to timeseries analytics and optimization problem

You have a fluent level both in French and in English.

You have very good communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse team across several locations. You also have strong entrepreneurial skills with a result-oriented approach. You are open minded and pugnacious.
