The role

• Ownership of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process for 2 French legal entities
• Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS to contribute to the year-end audit
• Compliance with regulation and all legal requirements, including tax
• Preparing and reviewing monthly VAT reporting and lodgements
• Monthly/quarterly/annual French-specific tax returns (e.g. Property tax, CIT)
• Store registrations
• Monthly accrual journals
• Monthly balance sheet review and also some specific reconciliations
• Insurance
• Audit liaison

About you

• Public accounting background and then moved into Industry (KPMG, Deloitte, BDO, and then into industry)
• Retail industry experience would be advantageous
• Full tax and accounting qualification
• Professional French language
• Experience in dealing with historical issues
• Confident in preparing Financial Statements
