Context
The company’s production chain of Payment Solutions is based on the Product Increment (PI) Process,which is divided into three consecutive phases: Discovery, Design, and Delivery.
While the Discovery phase is led by the product team and the Design phase under the Solution Owners’ responsibility, the Delivery phase is managed by the Scrum Delivery team.
The Scrum Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading agile teams located across different company sites, working closely with the teams’ and squads’ leaders. This role combines the responsibilities of a
Scrum Master and a Delivery Manager, focusing on facilitating collaboration, identifying at early stage and removing impediments, and ensuring that project milestones are met within the agreed-upon timelines and budget.
The Scrum Delivery Manager is also expected to support and improve the agility approach across Market Pay’s teams and localisations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate Agile Process:
a. Oversee multiple agile teams, aligning the practices to Scrum or other agile
frameworks.
b. Harmonize and supervise ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint
Reviews, and Retrospectives) across the teams
c. Coach the team in agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous
improvement.
2. Project Delivery:
a. Ensure that all the PI initiatives are delivered on time in accordance with committed
roadmap, within scope, and meet quality standards.
b. Manage risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks that may impact delivery.
c. Collaborate closely and report to the In-Person CTO and Solution Owners to ensure
alignment between business goals and project outcomes.
d. Work with the QA and E2E testing team to ensure the robustness of the delivery
process.
3. Team Support and Leadership:
a. Act as a servant leader to dev Scrum teams, especially their leaders, and collaborate
closely with the Product Owners, Solution Owners and stakeholders providing support
and removing obstacles.
b. Enhance and optimise the team’s productivity, efficiency and engagement.
c. Facilitate communication between team, stakeholders, and other parts of the
organization.
4. Tracking and Reporting:
- a. Track project progress using metrics such as burn-down charts, velocity, and release
plans.
b. Report regularly on team performance, delivery status, and project risks to the In-
Person CTO, Solution Owners and Management
c. Update the consolidated roadmap and collaborate closely with the Product Managers
Required Skills Qualifications: - Experience: 5+ years of experience in Scrum Master or Delivery Manager roles, ideally in a technical or software development environment.
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other relevant Agile certifications.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional and cross locations teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on servant leadership and team
empowerment. - Problem-solving: Proactive in identifying issues and working collaboratively to resolve them.
- Tools: Proficient in agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in software development or IT projects is an advantage
- A payment experience is definitively a plus
