Job Details: Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment, and continually focuses on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet and maintenance activities within the assigned area, including cost control, management development, and high training and safety standards.
Reporting Relationship(s): HR Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Maintain DOT compliance for all vehicles and drivers
- Process MVR checks
- Partner with managers and HR to manage accident claims.
- Work with auto insurance partners.
- Ensure safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
- Conduct fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Review capital equipment requisitions in line with Corporate guidelines and objectives.
- Manage effective utilization of vehicle assets.
- Ensure maintenance shops are adequately staffed and mechanics are properly trained.
- Ensure vehicle management systems are effectively utilized.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline managers according to 5 Points Electrical policies and procedures and ensure that maintenance managers are in compliance with the standards in their administration of counseling and disciplinary steps.
- Develop plans to ensure fleet compliance with federal, state and local government laws and regulations.
- Communicate with outside personnel regarding fleet matters.
- Assist with digitalization of records.
- Assist with POs and requisitions.
- Assist with administrative work as assigned.
- Oversee and manage 25+ vehicle assets.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of costumer service, administrative or general accounting experience.
- The ideal candidate will have a college degree
